CEFI Mass Comm Inks Pact with Radyo Ng Bayan-Lucena

IT’S OFFICIAL! PBS - Radyo ng Bayan Lucena is the station for the radio internship program of CEFI’s Mass Comunication Department. The Mass Communication Department of Calayan Educational Foundation, Inc. (CEFI) and the Philippine Broadcasting Service (PBS) – Radyo ng Bayan (RnB) Lucena signed on August 1 a memorandum of agreement (MOA) relative to the Radio Internship of the senior Mass Comm students of CEFI.

RnB Lucena Station Manager Maritess J. Balquiedra and Arts & Sciences Dean Karen J. Cusi headed the signing.

Effective immediately, Radyo ng Bayan is now the official station for CEFI’s radio internship program. The first batch of radio interns includes senior mass comm students Joshua Miguel Suarez, Florlyn Ricohermoso, Noel Rondilla Jr., Mary Ann Minor and Noemi Broqueza. For the next two months, Radyo ng Bayan will provide students of CEFI with in-depth exposure to professional radio production facilities, techniques, and practices.

CEFI Mass Comm head Ms. Mignon S. Tan served as the radio interns’ adviser.
In the past, CEFI and RnB Lucena had collaborated in producing radio ads which won two Best Developmental Radio Plug trophies from University of the Philippines – Los Baños Gandingan Awards last 2013 and 2014.
