CEFI Bed Notches 11 Medals in Invitational Swim Meet

Representing PH this August for Singapore swimming championship

Four CEFIzens from the Basic Education Department notched 11 medals (8 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze) in the 1st Splash & Dash A-B-C Invitational Swim Meet held at Bosay Resort Aquatic Club in Antipolo, Rizal July 16.

They are Grade 7 high school students Jordan Ken Lobos (6 gold) and Lance Arcel Lotino (2 gold, 1 bronze), John Neil Paderes, Grade 8 (1 silver), and sixth grader Kathrine Jonell Azores (1 silver).

Lobos recognized as the Most Outstanding Swimmer in the meet, won 1st place in the 50-m butterfly, 50-m breast stroke, 50-m freestyle, 50-m back stroke, 6x50 freestyle relay, and 200-m freestyle categories. 

Fellow 7th grader Lotino caught 1st place in 4x50 medley and 6x50 freestyle relay, and 3rd in the 50-m butterfly category.

Paderes took 2nd place in the 50-m breast stroke, while Azores scored the same in the 6x50 freestyle relay.

As part of their victory, they will be representing the Philippines in the 12th Singapore Island Country Club International Swimming Championships 2016, Aug 6 & 7 2016.

Lobos and Paderes are swimming varsity scholars of CEFI while Lotino and Azores will be granted their scholarship next year
