In the light of the Vision-Mission of CEFI, the College of Nursing aims:

1. to develop nurses who exemplify dignity and integrity through adherence to truth and righteousness;
2. to impart knowledge and skills in the nursing process that are essential in becoming critical thinkers who are also competent in health care delivery, communication and research;
3. to instill in the students the value of compassion, caring, patience and sensitivity to the needs of every man, woman, and child in their care; and
4. to provide opportunities for the students’ growth and development vital in their future career choices.

Different Fields of Nursing (Job Opportunities)

1. Hospital or institutional – nursing in hospitals and related health facilities such as extended care facilities, nursing homes, and neighborhood clinics.
2. Public health nurse/community health nurse – nursing care on family and community health
3. Private duty nurse – comprehensive nursing care to a client on a one to one ratio/ an independent contractor in the hospital or in the home.
4. Clinical Instructor/Faculty – career opportunities in nursing education; teaching as their field of expertise
5. Military nurse – nursing care to all military personnel, their dependents and authorized relatives.
6. Flight nurse or aero-space nurse – responsible for patients, military or otherwise, who have been evacuated from battle areas to the nearest installation for treatment.
7. School health Nurse – responsible for the school’s activities in the areas of health service, health education and environmental health and safety.
8. Clinic nurse - assists physicians in their clinics; gives health teachings to patients and families.
9. Advanced practice nurse/nurse specialist – an expert practitioner within a specialized field of nursing like direct patient care, research, teaching, consultation and management.
10. Independent nurse practitioner – self-employed and provides professional nursing services to patients and their families.
11. Occupational health nurse/industrial nurse – specialty practice that provide and deliver health care services to workers.
12. Nurse informatics – processes data & information on patient care services.
