Advocacy Program

The Advocacy program seeks to raise awareness and deepen the understanding of the members of the academe and its partner communities and institutions on socio-political issues such as governance, environment, out-of-school youth, and the other marginalized sectors. The program aims to motivate the communities to be vigilant and responsive to social issues.

Socio-Political Advocacy
Socio-Political Advocacy aims to help heighten the social and political awareness focusing on the impact of social and political issues on the youth at risk. The socio-political advocacy initiates a wide array of information and education campaigns like seminars, trainings, workshops, publications, mobilizations, exhibits, lobbying, symposia, fora, round table discussions/focus group discussion, and module development. Through such activities, values like vigilance, collaboration, nationalism, social responsibility, and option for the marginalized are highlighted to the unit’s partners

Environmental Advocacy
Environmental Advocacy strives to contribute on environmental preservation and rehabilitation through networking, linkages, education, and campaigns on such issues. Especially, it advocates principles of stewardship and sustainability through effective ecological waste management, biodiversity, and resource management.

Disaster Preparedness
Disaster Preparedness is a comprehensive and a continuous activity aimed to benefit the individuals and groups during disasters. This project is implemented through the coordination of the CEFI community core groups, Red Cross and other socio-civic organizations.
